London portrait photographer

About

I specialise in authentic portrait photography that celebrates vulnerability, with a focus on portfolio building, personal branding, and campaign work. As an actor, I understand what it’s like in front of the lens and will guide you to feel grounded and confident during our session.

Having been mentored by exceptional female photographers like Rashida Zagon, Sage East, and Hana Zebzabi, I bring a refined approach to my work. I shoot on medium format film, 35mm film, and digital. My work has been featured in Refinery 29 and was recently featured as the primary image across billboards, posters and flyers for Theatre Peckham’s Young, Gifted, and Black season in 2023.

Salut, I’m Sèverine. A queer, Guadeloupean-British visual storyteller and photographer, born and raised in South London (aka the capital of London—argue with the wall).

Although based in South London, I’m ready to travel abroad to bring your vision to life.

Photography is my second career. Also an actress, vocalist and co-founder of events collective Culture Canvas, I bring narrative to every single portrait I take. My mission is to make each photograph of you feel like a cinematic still, reflecting your authentic story.

  • For personal branding shoots, headshots and non-editorial enquiries:

    • Online gallery with images from the shoot: Sent within 7 working days of the shoot. Premium headshot sessions will receive their galleries on the same day. If you purchase the add on of a 48 hour turnaround when booking the standard or student package, you will also receive your gallery on the same day of shooting.

    • Retouched Images: Delivered 10-20 working days after you’ve chosen your favourites (often sooner, depending on my queue).

All photos are shared through an online gallery called Photo Workflow. You’ll get easy-to-follow instructions when it’s time to access your gallery.

For campaigns and editorial work, image deliverables and method of delivery will be discussed when we work together.

  • And I’ve got photoshop 😉 you’re good! No need to cancel your session because of blemishes

  • If you want it gone, absolutely!

My go to when editing headshots is to always leave in any marks that could be permanent as they’re part of your gorgeous appearance and make you unique.

My retouching style is focussed on enhancing the beauty that is already there and finding a colour grade that compliments your skin tone. I remove anything that can distract from the eyes and overall narrative of the picture. I care deeply about lighting and editing skin tones accurately, and welcome feedback if your skin tone has not been edited or lit correctly.

I never alter people’s nose shapes, excessively slim down or airbrush the heck out of people’s skin or remove things like double chins completely, especially not for headshots. If you’re after somebody that can make these things disappear, then I’m not the right photographer for you.

    I enhance, yes, but I don’t give you a picture that’s unrecognisable.

With all that said, my photoshoots are judgement free and it is your face and your body. If you want something specific removed, even if it’s permanent, just ask and I won’t come back at you with questions - consider it garn!

  • Nope! I don’t send out unedited images without watermarks, as they’re not a finished representation of my work or you. Your gallery will include watermarked proofs to help you choose your favourites. Sharing images that have not been purchased is strictly prohibited and modifying photos that have been sent to you is also prohibited without my written consent.

  • I always do my best to deliver you images of the highest standard you can be proud of and hope to never leave you disappointed. As a small business, I’m unable to offer refunds, as time and resources are dedicated to preparing for your shoot.

Should you not be satisfied with your results, reshoots and additional edits are decided at my discretion but are never guaranteed. My t&cs cover this in more detail.

Deposits are strictly non-refundable and non-transferable, as they secure the studio booking and any other required expenses. Please notify me at least 72 working hours in advance if you need to reschedule. A new deposit will be required should you need to reschedule. Same-day cancellations or reschedules will require an additional charge as well as the original deposit you paid.

In the event of no shows without communication, the full session fee will be charged.
